CANACT, Here for Change is an Advocacy Toolkit for Cancer Council NSW advocates. If you want to reduce the impact of cancer in your local community then this is the toolkit for you.
Cancer Council NSW believes in a cancer-free future, for everyone in NSW. Everyday we are working to reduce the impact of cancer on families, communities and the healthcare system. One way we are working to achieve this is by partnering with community to influence public policy, programs and funding to change the number of cancers diagnosed, to change the lives of people affected by cancer and to change unfair differences in cancer outcomes across NSW.
This toolkit will provide information on:
- Who is Cancer Council NSW.
- How we partner with community.
- Why we are working to be an independent and trusted voice on cancer issues.
- How to take action and reduce the impact of cancer.
We want to give you a strong understanding of what it means to advocate with Cancer Council NSW and ways to get involved in our work. Online Advocacy Toolkits are available throughout the year for CanAct Community members only.
